Heavenly Pizza to Host Annual Heavenly Haircuts

Heavenly Pizza has announced that their annual Heavenly Haircuts will take place on Monday, August 5, 2024 from 10 AM to 4 PM at their new location, 69 West Market Street in Tiffin. They will also have Heavenly Haircut events in Findlay on Monday, August 12, and Upper Sandusky on Monday, August 19.

This year’s event will include free haircuts for kids, goodie gift bags of hygiene items for kids to take home, and free pizza slices from Heavenly Pizza. Heavenly Haircuts is put on in partnership with Bless Up and Bloom, a non-profit organization that provides hygiene and wellness services.

Heavenly Haircuts is actively looking for stylists and volunteers to assist with the event with assistance needed in time slots from 10am to 1pm, 1 to 4pm, or the entire event. Heavenly Haircuts is also in need of sponsors to assist with the cost of stylists, supplies, and hygiene kits. Interested volunteers and sponsors are asked to call Bless Up and Bloom at 567-301-7528 to receive additional information. Sponsors can mail checks to Bless Up and Bloom, 3150 North Main Street, Suite 111, Findlay, OH 45840. 

Bless Up and Bloom is proud to be the nonprofit sponsor of Heavenly Haircuts. The Heavenly Haircut initiative was born of the understanding that many children do not have access to receive back to school haircuts and that the knowledge that feeling confident in one’s appearance can make the difficult period of adolescence easier. This confidence makes responding to criticism and harassment regarding appearance or home situation easier and reduces the trauma and anxiety these children experience.

These events provide back-to-school haircuts and hygiene supplies to children who may not have access to return to school feeling confident in their appearance and hygiene. In the last three years, Bless Up & Bloom has served more than 500 residents, meeting their hygiene and wellness needs, providing valuable resources that continue to increase their self-esteem and help guide them through personal challenges, thereby allowing them to find their own confidence and value.
