North Central Electric Cooperative Cuts Ribbon on Renovations

Congratulations to North Central Electric Cooperative on the renovations to their headquarters at 350 Stump Pike Road outside of Attica!

The original building, constructed in the late 90s, had become too small to meet the cooperative’s growing needs. The recent project included a complete renovation of the office building’s interior and exterior, along with a 6,800+ square foot addition. This expansion includes a community room, warming kitchen, offices, and restrooms, providing a modern and functional space for NCE’s operations and events.

Project planning began in late 2021 and was completed in June 2024 after many delays in parts and supply chain issues delayed the project. The main goals were to add multiple office spaces, meeting spaces, a locker room, a lineman training room, an engineering room, and a community room. The renovation also involved reconfiguring existing office spaces and updating electrical and mechanical systems.

New features include additional meeting spaces for both in-person and virtual meetings, reorganized departmental sections to encourage collaboration, and a community room available for events. NCE also upgraded to a state-of-the-art Variable Refrigerant Flow (VRF) system and enhanced the building’s energy efficiency.

North Central Electric Cooperative, Inc., serves about 9,600 members across eight counties in north central Ohio, maintaining approximately 1,800 miles of lines and 12 substations.
